| It is vital that parents play an active role in the development of their child's literacy skills, at an early age. By providing monthly contacts, Early Reading First is aiding the parents in this process. Every parent involved in our grant is contacted monthly. They are contacted in at least one of four different ways. Parents are contacted by telephone, at parent meetings, site visits or during home visits. In addition to these methods of contact, parents are also sent flyers and other valuable literacy information on a regular basis. |
