Parent Involvement

The goal of Project R.O.A.R. is not only to form a literacy rich environment in the classroom, but also to create a learning environment in the homes of these families. We at Project R.O.A.R. know parents are their child’s first teacher. Family literacy provides the framework for the success of a child. To achieve this goal Project R.O.A.R. provides:

    • monthly parent meetings at the centers.
    • transition meetings at the public schools.
    • meetings at the public libraries.
    • materials in order to create home libraries for a more literacy rich home environment.
    • Resource Libraries in each of the three counties; located in Idabel, Antlers and Hugo.
