Heart Person
Materials Needed:
heart patterns
small heart patterns
one toilet paper roll per child
rice or beans
scissors
tape
Begin by having children color and cut out two hearts. Have them cut strips out of construction paper for legs and arms. Then have them fold into an accordion. Glue legs and arms onto one of the hearts. Glue small hearts on ends of the accordions to make hands and feet.Place beans or rice into the toilet paper tube after taping up one end. Tape the other end shut and then glues the heart onto one side. Glue the second heart to the other side. Now you have a little heart person that can sit on the edge of a shelf or desk.
