Forest Grove Teacher Idea
During the month that we study the letter "F" and read the Frog Street Press book, Fanny Frog, we also have a frog race. Children catch frogs with their family and bring them to school on Frog Race Day. We discuss how they are different colors, textures and sizes. We watch videos about frogs and touch and hold them to feel the differences in each one, afterwards we have the race. Children love to watch their frog jump across the finish line. It is always a very exciting event and we always have good parent participation. When the race is finished, certificates are given to the students who have the winning frogs and the frogs are released back into the wild.

Can you see the tiny frog on top of the big frog?
