While reading the Breakthrough to Literacy book, Animal Sounds, play Animal Charades. Act out an animal from the story and see if the children can guess what animal you are. Write their answers on the SMART Board. Let children pretend to be animals and see if the other children can guess what animal they are pretending to be.
